Luminous planets

The 24 planets are illuminated by their built-in light. Watch as they move around, and abstract shapes come into view. The exhibition is a play on light, with each of the 24 aluminium discs reflecting changing colours. It’s also a technical feat, as each “planet” is unique, having been laser cut then sculpted by hand. Welcome to the realm of dreams!

The work is by Lyon based PITAYA Studio in France and has been a regular feature at the city’s annual light festival Fête des Lumières.
