The Tivoli Youth Guard's Christmas Copenhagen parade

On special occasions, the Tivoli Youth Guard marches through the streets of Copenhagen – and they will do so on Saturday 16 November to celebrate the opening of Christmas in Tivoli.

The parade will begin at Kongens Nytorv at 13:30 and will continue along the walking street (Strøget), cross the City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen) and enter Tivoli through the Main entrance at around 13:50.

The 90 members of the Tivoli Youth Guard are all aged 9-16 and they all attend the Tivoli Youth Guard music school every day. At the weekends they march around in their bright red uniform jackets and bearskin hats, entertaining visitors to the Gardens.
